● Led a team of 50 employees to complete the massive migration of servers from Amazon EC2 to Zynga’s Private Cloud in Q4 2012. Served as both the project manager and technical lead, and successfully planned and executed the entire end-to-end project, which resulted in the reduction of overall server count in Amazon's cloud from 7000 to 400 in just 16 weeks.● Managed and resourced all Facebook and Mobile games including new game launches and game acquisitions within Zynga● Built consulting relationships with internal teams for performance and capacity improvements for our large IP games like FarmVille, CastleVille, CityVille and Draw Something● Involved in planning the Quarterly Objective and forecasting Key Results for GFS

● Spent eight months in Zynga India building and training an Operations team of six, and creating playbooks of all the major operational issues ● Provided launch readiness and support for FrontierVille● Helped debug and resolve critical scalability issues in FarmVille & Poker which helped stabilize network traffic and memory caching in production● Worked with the Cafe World (Facebook game) design team to create specialized social features to support the growth of the application from 2M DAU to 8M in three weeks● Led the Cafe World team in assessing and achieving scalability and stability; optimized infrastructure by improving performance while reducing server costs● Filed for a patent (approval pending) and won the Zynga hack-a-thon in 2010 as part of a team that built a mobile version of Cafe World, now referred to as the “express” edition of games in FarmVille and CityVille

● Designed and implemented back end infrastructure to support growth of Street Racing (Facebook Game) over 200% during the course of six months● Lead the data center migration and database scaling projects● Led and trained the operations team which was responsible for responding to operations emergencies 24x7● Collaborated with the team in assessing and achieving scalability and stability; optimized infrastructure by improving performance while reducing server costs

● Worked on C/C++ based application that uses the Boost open source libraries along with XML parsing libraries and other in-house HTTP/SOAP libraries to communicate with other C++/Java applications as part of the Service Orientated Architecture (SOA). ● Supported new feature development, including integration with external data providers via web services (SOAP/XML).● Worked on a Java based application that communicated with C/C++ components over SOAP/XML, which was the front-end to the user in the form of a Java Applet.● Assisted in developing a set of APIs for customizing the Java Application to make it extensible in terms of GUI and functionality as per the needs of the Customer.● Wrote customized JavaScripts to extend the functionality of the core Java application for customer specific features.● Developed PHP backend scripts that monitor the C++ Application and communicate with the application via XML over HTTP and passed on the status in an email to the system administrator. This involved parsing of XML using the built-in SAX parser.● Designed and developed tools in PHP that formed various different XML messages and posted them over HTTP to the Java application to stress/load test the applications.● Designed the framework of C++ application to have an API and built an UI for the C++ application in PHP that used the backend C++ API to do user requested actions which involved actions like getting the current state of the application in terms of threads running and memory growth or memory leak if any. Also allows the user to be able to retrieve the last few XML message interactions the C++ application had with its peer components.

● Responsible for configuring and testing Media Gateway (Dialogic IMG 1010) with SIP and Telephony side (T1, DS3 and PRI) and Media Server (Dialogic Software Media Server) for the VoIP aspect of the application solution.● Involved in working with Third Party Vendors like Verizon, AT&T, and Global Crossing etc for Telephony layers to get the Gateways communicating with the vendors' circuits.● Worked on setting up SIPURAs (a Linksys PSTN-SIP adapter that converts a PSTN phone into a VoIP phone) and soft phones (from SJPhone and CounterPath ­that would not need a SIPURA/PSTN phone hence having a pure software solution from the end user point of view).● Configured and setup SIP proxies (Brekeke OnDO SIP Server and Asterisk--an open source SIP proxy) to allow the SIPURA based VoIP Phone or the soft phone be accessible as the configured extension.

● Responsible for installing and configuring Fedora Core operating system.● Configured and set up a distributed solution for the service application-involving SIP based VoIP setup and MySQL database connection for different applications that formed the solution for the SOA. The VoIP setup involved setting up SIPURAs with PSTN phones, Media Gateways, Media Servers and soft phones whereas the database side of the setup involved in setting up Application Servers like JBoss and Tomcat Building automated test environments for stress testing on the VoIP application side using JMeter (a Java based automation tool), LISA from iTKO (an UI Automation tool) and Hammer from Empirix (a VB based SIP Automation tool)● Stress tested the core applications for process memory growth and thread count of each individual process to ensure robustness and stability by analyzing and reporting memory leaks and extended increased resource usage by the applications.● Involved in regression and load testing the stability of the network and application by simulating network packet loss at different levels (application level and network level) by using built-in Linux utilities and open source software like Nist Net that allows to control the percentage of packet loss at the host or even at the specificport level, one way communication or both.● Visited offshore site to mentor new team members in understanding the complex architecture and infrastructure involved in setting up a distributed environment to duplicate the production setup.
