About Hari Krishna Hari Prasad
As a research assistant at the Animal Inspired Movement and Robotics Laboratory (AIM-RL) at CU Boulder, I am fascinated by the robustness of biological systems and how they can inspire the design and control of mechanically intelligent machines. My Ph.D. project focuses on developing a geometric mechanics-based model for motion planning and control of a soft-bodied quadruped robot inspired by origami techniques.I have a strong background in control engineering, which I applied to my master's thesis at the University of Washington Seattle, where I worked on generating in-atmosphere propulsion using electrohydrodynamic (EHD) thrust. I fabricated a novel four-thruster device using laser micromachining and demonstrated its lift-off and modulation using a high-voltage PWM circuit. I also have experience in teaching and lecturing on bioinspired robotics courses at CU Boulder, where I help students with hands-on lab sessions and theoretical concepts. I am an inquisitive and proactive learner who loves to explore new challenges and collaborate with others.
