I’m a New Jersey native living and working California. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Feminist Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I graduated with Highest Honors and received the University Award of Distinction upon graduation. During my time in Santa Barbara, I worked in the Women, Gender, and Sexual Equity Center, Residential & Community Living, Orientation Programs and Parent Services, and at a local shelter for Houseless folks. Upon graduation I began working with houseless folks at a COVID-19 shelter. After this, I obtained my Emergency Medical Technician state and national certificate. I worked in a field hospital during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as for various vaccine clinics across the state. Since then, I have begun down my path of creating a restorative, inclusive, and community-based education for marginalized students. I now work as a 9th-grade English teacher in the East Bay Area. Since beginning my role as full-time teacher, I've worked with Queer and Trans students to advise our campus' first Queer and Trans Alliance. I was also awarded the inaugural Teacher of the Month after my first month teaching! It's my goal to continue fostering an environment in which children in underserved areas feel seen, supported, and loved. Thanks for joining me!
