I co-founded and managed CO, a co-working co-op and community center, until its sale to community partners. Previously, I supported startups and entrepreneurs at The Trillions Co. and Idealab NY, in partnership with Idealab Studio in Pasadena. We launched an accelerator that specialized in equity crowdfunding, an incubator for social innovation startups, a VC fund, and provided entrepreneur training and coaching with a focus on marketing, innovation and fundraising. To this work, I bring my first career in the contemporary arts: 15 years experience as a producer, curator and interdisciplinary contemporary artist, devoted to nurturing creativity, experimentation and ambition in media, art, and performance. As one of three founding curators of the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I helped launch the cutting-edge $200M facility in 2008, and developed its programming over 7 years. From 2012 - 2018, I made full-length performance works with Studio Reynard, my contemporary dance and theater company. My work as a performer, choreographer, director and instigator of collaborative projects was devoted to provoking meaningful experiences and standing up for hand-made live art in a digital age.
