The constant of my legal career has been public service, beginning with internships at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Offices of New York State Attorney General in upstate New York and continuing as a municipal attorney in the City That Never Sleeps and in town halls across Long Island. After a career counseling municipal legislatures and Town Supervisors, I have extended my passion for public service to include empowering women in the legal profession and beyond. The COVID-19 pandemic also provided me with another opportunity for public service, which was to serve as a part-time contact tracer in the battle against one of the greatest public health issues of our time. Over the past two years, I have enjoyed developing programming for the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association (SCWBA) and being a liaison to the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY). I have pushed myself out of my municipal comfort zone and reached out to people throughout the United States to cultivate programming ideas. As a liaison to WBASNY, I have worked with amazing women throughout New York State to develop state legislative priorities for women and children. It is with this strong foundation that I was elected to be the Vice President of Membership for the SCWBA for the 2021-2022. I am also honored to be able to utilize my legislative prowess in my role as Advocacy Chair for the Hadassah Suffolk Region. I have worked with my region to develop programming, including a webinar on landmark federal litigation against white supremacists, neo-Nazis and hate groups responsible for the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. I have recently been elected to be Co Vice President for Programming for the Hadassah Suffolk Region for 2022.I am a Ruth Bader Ginsburg superfan (may she rest in peace) and rediscovered the joy of reading during the pandemic. If your business or not-for-profit is looking to add someone to your team with extensive legislative and programming experience, please reach out to me.
