SynCare Behavioral Health is an outpatient mental health service treatment center with a mission to provide high-quality, individualized, and compassionate mental health care. We are located in Oahu and have available for both tele-health and in-person appointments. Tele-health appointment is also available for residents of neighboring islands.

Diagnose and treat mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, psychotic disorders, ADHD, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. • Provide psychiatric medication evaluation, assessment, and pharmacotherapy• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, provide psychoeducation, and review toxicology tests and labs• Provide clinical consultation to peers and other health care professionals• Participate in mental health conferences, case presentations, and clinical supervision with psychiatrist• Collaborate with addiction team staff to enhance patient engagement

• Assess and document psychiatric symptoms and behaviors and medical issues• Establish therapeutic relationship with clients• Administer scheduled and PRN medications and monitor side effects• Initiate and administer alcohol and/or opiate withdrawal protocols based on CIWA and COWS scales• Conduct admission interview and communicate with on-call physician regarding medications• Educate clients about medications and coping skills• Administer flu shots, PPD, and other parenteral medications• Supervise mental health workers

Inpatient psychiatry with the expectation to independently formulate and implement patients’ treatment plans by graduation• Participate in psychiatric assessment, discharge/treatment planning, and psychopharmacologic management• Document mental status assessment and reconcile patient current medications as needed• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to meet the patients’ needs and plan for disposition

• Co-lead a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy group for university students and conduct initial screening of group members• Identify coping skills for anxiety and conduct practice sessions with students• Document group progress

• Document patient mental status and behaviors on assessment flow sheets and progress notes• Identify behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis and utilize non-verbal and verbal techniques to de-escalate crisis situations• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors and facilitate patient activities and groups• Obtain vital signs, transport patients, supervise meals and activities, and assist patients with ADL’s

Investment performance and attribution

Analyze and interpret excess returns of investment portfolios using quantitative models; utilize attribution systems to create customized reports and enhance efficiencies; use Bloomberg and derivative models to validate derivative prices of instruments such as credit default swaps and equity warrants.

Calculated, analyzed, and presented performance and attribution results for institutional clients. Worked with consultants to organize and customize reports for clients.
