In my time at Outschool, I worked as the design lead across multiple teams, as well as with the design team lead to grow and scale their new team. Key work includes:- Ideation, design and research around the launch of Learner Spaces in January 2021 (search launched in April 2021); Learner Spaces allows learners to access and search for their own classes on Outschool.- Design and research of new learner allowance feature, which allows parents to provide learners with an allowance to spend on Outschool classes chosen by the learners. This feature put Outschool's product team on the path to exploring further learner-led growth features.- Growth and expansion of the design team including kicking-off Outschool's first design internship and hiring their first UX writer.- Leadership of Outschool's first design sprint, resulting in a remix of class search results to better display information and more classes shown at once.- Navigational audit of the entire Outschool ecosystem, leading to team reorganization with stronger focus on the product needs of educators.- Strategic design of Outschool partnerships with public and charter schools and the impact that has on the current B2C model.- Continued conversations and discussions around pay, diversity and equity at Outschool and what it means to prioritize people over profit.

As the Head of UX at Oliver Wyman, I have established a UX design team within the Labs group. This includes:- Bringing in a team of UX designers to form the initial team- Establishing relationships with outside contractors and vendors for overflow support- Creating documents that help team members understand the breadth of UX capabilities and ways of working together- Coordinating with Oliver Wyman consultants to provide UX support on various sales pitches and new projects I have also worked with my team to:- Create a UI framework which uses a customized version of bootstrap and includes reusable components, to provide a consistent starting point for future projects. - Establish a method for the UX team to create clickable prototypes and non-functional sales demos without heavy dev support, which keeps the dev team free for project work, while still providing consultants with key components to sales meetings and pitches. - Provide design and project management for multiple projects, including managing day to day development activities and interfacing with clients.

In my capacity as President & Product Strategist, I have run the gamut of job functions from business administration and finance to strategic consulting, user research, and product management.During my 6 years at Above the Fold, I have:- Grown from a team of 3 to a team of 9 - Shed our remote-only roots by establishing a dedicated office space in Central Square- Transitioned our business model from basic web design services to a focus on user experience. Under my financial management, Above the Fold’s revenue increased every year, doubling from 2009–2010 and again from 2010–2011. I’ve led efforts to advocate for UX thinking beyond the walls of our office, including:- 2 years on the board of directors of Boston PHP, instilling a UX perspective in the local web development community- Giving talks and leading workshops across the US, Canada and Europe including conferences such as: UXPA Boston, UXPA International, UX Cambridge, Blend Conference and more.- Leading on-site user experience workshops for companies who want to incorporate UX into their own culture and process

I worked directly with teachers to help students in several math and english classes several times a week, during class. The teacher and I would identify students who needed specific help, and I would work with them on class assignments, and explaining lessons and key concepts. I built relationships with students and ran several after school programs including an SAT prep course and a cooking class.

I worked with 3 of the hospital's top orthopedic surgeons, keeping track of their meetings & schedules, and booking travel as needed. I also coordinated the clinic surgery schedule, aiding patients in obtaining earlier appointment, and manage, maintain and build templates for doctors’ clinic schedules.

I provided cost analysis and cost estimating support for financial management directorate. I instructed others in my field in how to use the various software tools and developed a training curriculum for the job position.
