I was born in New York, shortly after which I moved to Pakistan with my family for the bulk of my years. I then moved to Qatar where I did my high school and experienced cultures from all over the world. I finally moved to the states for my college career and haven’t looked back since. Growing up around such diversity, I always enjoyed the similarities and differences in people’s upbringing. This has given me great appreciation for everyone around me and has helped me be respectful of other people’s thought process. I am currently working with JBT as a project engineer where we plan processes and execute installs for multiple customers in the juice extraction world. This includes specs, designs, 3D modeling, P&IDs, install planning and a lot a collaboration. This job has sincerely been the biggest learning position for me, as well as the most fun by far. One thing I learned about myself during my work experiences is that if you show humility, I will do everything in my power to help you. But if you are disrespectful or a bully, I will call you out. With that, communication has been my number one focus. If we can learn to communicate effectively, maybe we can have clear expectations, boundaries and cohesive goals.
