GSU partnered with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to participate in the Science Education Alliance(SEA) Phage’s laboratory. In this program, I isolated phage from a soil sample and extracted the genomic DNA. Upon DNA isolation, I used bioinformatics software to identify and name my newly discovered phage.
