I am a Data Management Officer in the NHS NSS Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections (ARHAI) Scotland team.

As a Teaching Administrator in the Undergraduate Medical School, I offered support and administrative assistance to students and staff. Regular tasks included timetabling coordination, maintaining student records, administering assessments, liaising with NHS staff regarding clinical placements, and being the first point of contact for all staff and student queries.

Supported teaching on courses, primarily at Masters level, including: Introduction to Statistics, Introduction to R, Programming in R, Infectious Disease Ecology, Spatial Ecology & Bayesian Statistics.

My main focus was developing animal movement models which incorporated individual habitat selection and cognitive processes (perception and memory). We used the models to explore the impact of these mechanisms on how individuals can respond to changes in their environment, with particular interest in infrastructure development.

I tutored an Intermediate 2 Biology student weekly in the run up to their final exam. I explained concepts that the student found difficult in new ways and helped them to develop problem solving skills. Additionally I aided them in answering practice questions and essays.

I carried out office junior duties which included organising and updating the filing system, digitally archiving documents and other administrative tasks.
