I am currently a student at Virginia Tech studying to become a civil engineer. I graduated from the Governor's Academy for Engineering Studies at Lloyd C. Bird High School in Chesterfield, Virginia. I learned valuable lessons from teamwork, critical thinking, and hands-on projects during my time there. During the summers of 2020 - 2023, I served as a lifeguard and was promoted to Manager on Duty at the end of the 2021 season. I was the Assistant Manager at my neighborhood pool for the summer of 2023. I learned to manage and supervise employees and work as a team to make a difference in the community.During the summer of 2024, I interned through Delta Aiport Consultants as part of their Summer Aviation Experience program. During the program, I learned about various airport aspects, including airport infrastructure, aviation, the engineering design process, bidding, and quality control. I also visited the construction site at St. Mary's County Regional Airport in Maryland, where I learned about the different factors that go into a construction project, as well as how to deal with challenges that may arise.
