About Helen Steer

My experience spans two countries and several different industries, from the start up world to not for profit to higher education. My focus has been on cost management, stewardship of funds and multi-platform reporting requirements. One of my passions in work is to streamline a process, such as reporting requirement, using the technology available. Identifying efficiencies in work production and cost reduction. I am skilled at identifying what reporting is required and useful and then tailoring it to the audience.Budgeting has been my primary focus for a number of years and the nuances that are required for this endeavour. Working at the University of New Brunswick, especially during the pandemic, gave me the skills to balance competing factors and layer in new information into a budget structure to ensure we had a path forward to financially navigate the new landscape.I am a dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
