I currently serve as a Tutor in the Master of Formación del Profesorado de Secundaria program at the Department of Business, Faculty of Social Sciences. In this role, I have successfully supervised multiple Master's Thesis projects and have been responsible for overseeing the practical training of Biology and Geology students. Description: As a pre-doctoral researcher, I focused on investigating the potential therapeutic benefits of Sigma-1 agonists in treating neurodegenerative diseases like ALS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's. To accomplish this, I conducted various behavioral studies using in vivo rat and mouse models, along with in vitro studies on standard and CRISPR/Cas9-manipulated cell lines. Additionally, I employed molecular biology techniques such as PCR, real-time PCR, dot blot, and Western blot to evaluate protein and gene expression, as well as immunocytochemistry techniques to assess structural changes in neurites. Alongside conducting research, I also actively participated in data analysis and the writing of scientific articles.Key Achievements: Published 6 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. Presented research findings at 2 national and 1 international conferences. Obtained a pre-doctoral scholarship and awards for attending conferences and research stays abroad. Completed and defended my doctoral thesis, earning my PhD degree. Collaborated with leading researchers and institutions to advance understanding of neurodegenerative diseases. Developed and optimized new techniques for more accurate analysis. Mentored undergraduate students in laboratory techniques and research methodologies.

As a pre-doctoral researcher in the project "Molecular Basis of Neurodegenerative Diseases and Neuroprotective Mechanisms" led by Dr. Daniel Marcellino, I had the opportunity to work on research lines focused on the role of Sigma-1 receptors in neurodegenerative diseases, the identification of novel Sigma-1 ligands with therapeutic potential, and the evaluation of neuroprotective properties of chemical compounds in rodent models of neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, I contributed to elucidating the underlying molecular basis of these pathologies.My responsibilities included investigating and identifying potential molecular markers associated with neurodegenerative diseases using molecular biology techniques. I also actively participated in writing and designing research projects for competitive calls and was in charge of managing the established mouse colonies in the laboratory.Throughout this work, I had the opportunity to develop my research skills, deepen my knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, and contribute to scientific advancements in the field of neuroscience and the search for new therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.

Description: During the practical phase as an Innovation, Transfer, and Internationalization Facilitator, I actively participated in key activities within my program to promote innovation, facilitate knowledge transfer, and improve international collaboration. I conducted these practices at this private hospital with the goal of designing an innovation and internationalization plan focused on expanding its market in the Moroccan region and diversifying its healthcare services portfolio.

As an Innovation, Transfer, and Internationalization Trainee, I had the opportunity to participate in an innovation consultancy workshop as an innovation facilitator. Description: As a Laboratory Research Assistant in the Department of Analytical and Food Chemistry (Area of Toxicology), I contributed to a significant project led by Chair Professor Anunciación Lafuente, investigating the neurotoxic effects of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) on the organism. My research focused specifically on the disruptive impacts of PFOS on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis.Key Responsabilities: Conducted experiments using animal models to assess neurotoxic effects. Processed tissue samples for detailed analysis. Performed molecular biology techniques including qPCR, HPLC, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry. Analyzed data to evaluate the impact of PFOS on HPA and HPG axes. Collaborated with the research team to develop and refine experimental protocols. Prepared reports and presentations summarizing research findings for academic and professional audiences.Achievements: Successfully identified key neurotoxic effects of PFOS on the HPA and HPG axes.
