In her role as Director of Philanthropy for Community Supported Shelters, Heather Quaas-Annsa is responsible for mid-level and major gift fundraising, donor relations, planned giving, grant writing, public relations and marketing.

• Nearly doubled internal employee donations during a single month-long campaign (from 11% to 21% participation)• Planned and organized donor stewardship, internal campaign kickoff events, and hybrid fundraising events (face-to-face and online) with upwards of 300 attendees• Developed and secured donations for a new fund designed to assist low-income patients with non-medical needs in order to prevent re-hospitalization, such as transportation, prescription assistance, and temporary shelter

• Responsible for follow-up and document preparation related to disbursements received from donor estates and trusts including communicating with courts and legal counsel and/or trust administrators• Prepare expendable fund agreements, gift annuity agreements, gift designation documents, pledge forms, endowment fund agreements, and donation acknowledgment letters• Work closely with Directors of Development and Children’s Miracle Network staff to strategize the cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of all current and prospective individual, corporate, foundation, and government donors• Conduct the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, government and corporate sources• Schedule and attend all Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation, Peace Harbor Hospital Foundation, and Cottage Grove Community Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and Committee meetings; prepare and distribute meeting agendas; record minutes; review and draft governance documents including Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Certificate of Signature Authorities, and Committee Charters

• Collaborated with an offshore development team and in house legal counsel to develop a dispute/complaint monitoring application to satisfy CFPB requirements • Increased department revenue by over 50% in 2014 by streamlining processes and increasing staff retention • Developed system to track KPIs for department, including monthly staff audits and work product • Negotiated business agreement with outside vendor for legal document preparation, resulting in approximately 500 hours saved a year • Investigated and responded to all consumer complaints received from the Attorney General's office, Better Business Bureau, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau • Developed and presented multiple trainings on various compliance topics including Regulation E, UDAAP, FCRA, and FDCPA

• Encouraged others to give, advocate and/or volunteer on behalf of the United Way• Collaborated with United Way staff to analyze donation history and campaign potential of local organizations in order to assist with the planning of workplace charitable contribution campaigns• Developed relationships with Employee Campaign Leaders and delivered presentations to various audiences in order to encourage participation in workplace campaigns.
