    As the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Interim Program Coordinator/Advisor, I provided overall support to the Central America & Brazil PEPFAR program which includes six countries (Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama) and the PEPFAR Coordination Office. Furthermore, I supported the implementation of the 2020 Regional Operational Plan and the development of the 2021 Regional Operational Plan (COP/ROP21).My role as the Western Hemisphere Regional Central America and Brazil Interim PEPFAR Program Coordinator/Advisor included, but was not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:1. Act as primary point of contact and coordinate across relevant parties including serving as primary point of contact for the Office of the US Global AIDS Coordinator and Health Diplomacy (OGAC) in Washington DC and promoting communications between S/GAC Team, the PEPFAR interagency team. 2. Act as primary point of contact with the U.S Department of State Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) in Guatemala City and other Front Offices in the region by facilitating communications between the DCM, other Embassy offices, other (non-PEPFAR) USG agencies or sections, and PEPFAR USG staff, PEPFAR implementing partners and partner government officials.3. Ensure horizontal information-sharing between in-country agency leads.4. Coordinate the PEPFAR Central America/Brazil team’s response to important developments, activities, policy guidance from Washington, consultation and agreements from senior partner government officials, and collaboration with international agencies, bi-lateral donors, and other partners.
