Previous to KPMG, Henry interned with the Real Estate Asset Management division of Deutsche Bank in Chicago where he followed, modeled, and revised 1, 2, and 5 year price targets for publicly traded hotel stocks.Henry’s major project was to create a model based on geographic premiums, asset quality premiums, and flow-through to accurately calculate nominal cap rates. As a result, 2005 cap rates were lowered an average of 23 bps and 2006 rates were increased by an average of 58 bps. These rates were used to calculate enterprise values and WACC based values which were increased by 7.5% for 2005 and decreased by 6% for 2006.

Henry’s day to day activities revolved around the management of 2 mortgage REITS ($16MM NAV) and 1 equity REIT ($12MM NAV) and various other real estate related entities ($10MM NAV). He was also charged with supervising the accounting procedures and preparing quarterly/annual shareholder’s reports.
