Koordinates produces cutting-edge software for organising, managing and distributing geospatial and tabular information. Koordinates provides a SaaS (software as a service) platform to a number of clients, including the LINZ Data Service, recognized as a global leader in government open data programmes.In this small, fast-moving and specialised team, my role is to lead front-end design, UI architecture and implementation. I have overseen the implementation of a number of major UI iterations and framework upgrades.During this time I have also been a regular guest lecturer at the University of Auckland discussing geographic systems.

Opus International Consultants is a major New Zealand head-quartered civil engineering consultancy. In 2008 I joined the Auckland geospatial team as the offices first consulting software developer. During this time I led development in a number of specialist fields:Asset information decision support software. Developed asset optimization and maintenance planning software provided by Opus as a service to a number of major New Zealand business and state sector organisations. As well as offering considerable cost savings over external provides, the software provided a superior user experience and rapid development life cycle.Mobile geospatial applications. Road asset management is a core Opus competency. The software I developed created significant hardware cost and time savings for road asset management operators. The value of this innovation was recognized when I was awarded the Opus Individual Technical Excellence Award for 2009.Environmental risk management visualisation. Information management and map visualisations of environmental risk management data for the relevant New Zealand agencies.

Restaurant Brands operates in a highly competitive industry where timely information and reliable systems is a critical operational requirement. In this environment, I was responsible for systems & network management, internal support tooling and representing IT in brand leadership group planning and execution.Notable achievements include: • Successful integration of a new store Point of Sales systems with EFTPOS payment provider, passing PCI DSS auditing. • Creating internal payroll and human resources tools to replace manual processes.
