Victim Support Expert at http://www.unodc.org - Developing the capacities of employees of civil society organizations and social institutions that provide victim support services for victim of human trafficking and enabling them to identify the best practices and mechanism in this area.

AFPPD in partnership with the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has a project entitled ‘Mobilizing Parliamentarians for Elimination of Violence against Women in Asia-Pacific’. This project encompasses examining different forms of violence that are highly prevalent in specific sub-regions. It also covers developing research agenda and policy advocacy strategies to campaign for Elimination of Violence against Women. In South-East Asia, the focus of the project is on trafficking and its link to gender-based violence.

Hoa is working with the United Nations as a Victim Protection Consultant and Capacity Development Specialist with a focus on protection services and shelter improvement in Asia.• Protection, advocacy, policy and piloting of technological innovations in Training of Trainers Programmes. • Design and advise on program development, develop case management tools, curriculums and provide technical assistance for various anti-human trafficking activities, COMMIT and capacity building programs, especially in shelter services, victim support and advocacy included child protection.

South-Est Asia

COMMIT is a program under the United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking (UNIAP). This post is focusing on conducting training and building capacity for committed governments in the region to response to human trafficking meeting international standards, highlighting the need for multi-lateral, bilateral, and government-NGO cooperation to fight human trafficking.

Conducted Training in Viet Nam National Minimum Protection Standards on Trafficked Victims.Developed Victim Assistance Manual, handouts for training of trainers and provide training for government officers, shelter staff and border guards.

Hoa has significant knowledge and experience in the field of Human Trafficking, having previously held the position of Mental Health Officer for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Hanoi, Vietnam and designing and implementing national training programs for The Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) on victim protection and reintegration.
