Guidance for clinicians to provide optimal personalised treatment and enhance the quality of life of cancer patients. Every year approximately 2.2M new cases of lunger cancer is diagnosed. Cancer treatment is expensive and, sadly, it is in most cases effective only for a short time. Very often mutations emerge and lead to progression of the disease and a need for new therapy. Without a clear lead on which treatment to select, the medical decision is based on an educated trial and error approach. As a spin-off of the University and the Academic Medical Hospital Groningen, Protyon wants to change that and boost knowledge guided therapy selection for each individual patient. Protyon offers a software solution for hospital oncology boards to provide crucial advice on the best personalised treatment options for each individual patient. In our pilot study, we have supported clinicians and analysed over 600 cases that resulted in an improvement of the quality of life, and an increase of the life expectancy of the patients overall. At the University Holding I am working as a junior analyst and business developer. Valorising the research which is being conducted at the University of Groningen is such a wonderful process. It's a privilege to work together with the researchers to come up with a sustainable business model which can have such a deep impact on society, business and our environment. This is where innovation really kicks off. I am proud to be part of this! Furthermore, I am also working on a project for the Career Services to lead the career database project for a better connection between education and labor market.

As a university, we strive to educate high professionals who are able to contribute value to society and business. The question of how should we educate them and how do we actually educate students for the future are questions we deal with in our everyday work. That's why our Career Services department is actively looking for organisations who are interested in collaborating with the University with us to answer these questions. Connecting education with the labour market. My primary job is to provide training, workshops and coaching to students and consult with students and faculties to implement career services within the study and curricula.
