Heavy Equipment Diesel Field Technician Level 5
Current-Overall tasks include: diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing standard mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components of the diesel heavy engines including construction equipment.-During tenure at Yancey Bros, Hoby was appointed the Shop Safety Officer due to his high safety rating, participation in safety programs and leadership skills.-Assessed extent of necessary repairs with CAT SIS & CAT ET to identify major engine and transmission overhaul needs and prepare orders for required services.-Repaired and/or replaced all components of light and heavy frame assemblies, suspension systems drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, material handling and operator comfort systems.-Tuned engines, diagnosed computer controls, modules and air conditioning components using diagnostic equipment.-Utilized welding and brazing skills to fabricate and modify parts, equipment, miscellaneous structures and attachments.-Completed all administrative duties including but not limited to: work orders, part orders, inspections, warranty support, comments, time sheets-Managed a technician efficiency average of 95%, which represents the overall time efficiency of a technician’s ability to meet or exceed expectations for job completion.
