About Hock Tan
I have served as President, CEO, and Director of Broadcom and its predecessor company Avago Technologies since March 2006, leading the company’s growth from eight mission-critical technology product franchises in semiconductors to 26 divisions across semiconductors and infrastructure software. In addition to my CEO responsibilities, I oversee the Broadcom software portfolio of business-critical enterprise software that modernizes, optimizes, and protects the world’s most complex hybrid IT environments.Incorporated in Delaware and headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Broadcom has deep roots tracing back to the early days of the microelectronics industry and such technology icons as Hewlett-Packard, Bell Labs, and AT&T. In addition to my role at Broadcom, I am proud to be a member of The President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) since 2020. Earlier in my career, I held senior management positions at PepsiCo and General Motors.
