I am a mechanical and systems engineer by training, specializing in data science, optimization, machine learning, and product development strategy. In my current role at Endevor, I strategically develop and direct initiatives to bring state-of-the-art data analytics and insights tools into our enterprise software services. I am passionate about solving challenging problems that lead to more efficient and sustainable business practices and societal outcomes. In my previous roles in academia, my research and teaching explored the ways that people design products, drawing from different disciplines to understand product development and design optimization as a multi-stakeholder system that accounts for how designers’ decisions interact with those of consumers, corporate leaders, and policy makers. I managed a laboratory (www.designspacelab.com) where I advised a team of student researchers, wrote grant proposals to attract funding, managed sponsored project budgets, and wrote, published, and presented results to technical and non-technical audiences. Our work bridged the intersection of design, sustainability, and complexity, with research projects that focused on system integration, decision optimization, sustainability analysis, and STEM education. This led to 24 published peer-reviewed journal papers, 43 peer-reviewed and presented conference papers, 77 student researchers advised, and 14 sponsored projects from competitive grants totaling over $2.25 million. My core skills include strategic planning, leading and managing teams, and communicating technical concepts to broad audiences, along with technical competencies that include numerical optimization, programming, machine learning implementation, system modeling, human subject research, and statistical data analysis.
Listed skills include Simulations, Engineering, Modeling, Matlab, and 16 others.
