She was also a founding Managing Director and Head of Advancement at A Better Chicago, tripling the organization’s revenue in four years and launching a strategic plan to boost college graduation rates.Julie led the Illinois chapter of America Needs You, enhancing economic mobility for first-generation college students. Her earlier roles include Director of Development and Communications for Cara Chicago, Consultant for Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance in Washington D.C., and Peace Corps volunteer in Peru.She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Spanish from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
