At Legion Logistics, I participated in a 14-week sales development program, which consisted of two rotations. I spent the first seven weeks working with seasoned freight brokers on large customer accounts, communicating with customers and drivers to ensure smooth delivery of shipments ranging from produce to military equipment. I spent the next seven weeks in the New Business Development department, actively selling Legion to potential customers and creating my own book of business. This experience increased both my sales skills and the company’s bottom line. I also helped plan and implement Legion’s fourth-quarter community service project. I made first contact with the Genesis Bridge Point Center in Florence Kentucky and continued contact until the event took place. Along with contacting the Genesis Bridge Point Center, I helped carry out pre-event activities such as planning activities, recruiting for the event, and gathering supplies.
