I operated in a number of roles during my time with Babcock Integrated Technology including as a Business Improvement Coordinator, Project Manager and Mechanical Systems Engineer. My roles involved continual communication and liaison with senior business leaders both internally and externally.Key Responsibilities• Business Improvement Coordinator: Led business improvement initiatives in Babcock’s Adelaide workshop including implementation of various Lean Six Sigma and operational improvement projects• Project Manager: Ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of key engineering projects for Babcock manufactured equipment for the Collins Class submarines• Mechanical Systems Engineer: Performed engineering assessments of Babcock manufactured and maintained equipment on the Collins Class submarines.Major Achievements:• Oversaw the implementation of Lean Six Sigma protocols across Babcock’s Adelaide workshop and led a number of business improvement projects• Managed the manufacturing program and installation program for major key component of the Collins Class Submerged Signal Ejector system• Performed the shock testing analysis and managed the engineering shock testing protocols for key components of Collins Class weapons discharge system.

My roles were focused around project and program management of key engineering projects for the Collins Class submarine fleet.Key Responsibilities• Capability Enhancements Coordinator: Program management role, managing the schedule, budget, and technical requirements for installation of capability enhancement projects on the Collins Class submarine fleet. Also providing a liaison for installation queries and engineering support during the project• Mechanical Systems Engineer: Providing engineering guidance and support to mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) on the Collins Class submarine fleet• Project Engineer: Key supporting project management role within Collins Class submarine maintenance periods.Key Achievements:• Managed the installation program for the capability enhancement projects being installed on the HMAS Farncomb mid-cycle docking. Duties project management, schedule management, progress reporting, and configuration management• Managed the configuration control, and installations for a new antenna system on the Collins Class Submarine fleet. Additionally performed corrosion inspections on tanks and tank components on the Collins Class submarine fleet• Managed the concession and urgent defect database, performed general project management duties to support the in service fleet of the Collins Class submarine fleet.
