Howzit.I live my life by 3 rules: 1. Integrity - Always tell the truth. I will never trust or befriend a liar. 2. Commitment - 100% Loyalty to your commitments be it your current job role or contract. 3. Family - The protection and longevity of my family will always be priority no.1.I studied immediately after school but halfway though I left to join the British Army. I served in the Parachute Regiment for the best part of 10 years. I gained rank and was accepted to attend the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for Officer training.After my son was born, my priorities changed and I left the Army to seek an outdoor family lifestyle in South Africa. As a family we returned to South Africa to live and I to finish my studies. I completed my Higher National Diploma in 2018 (not having done any design work since I left in 2007) attaining 3rd place in a class of 42. Since then, over the course of 3 years, I have worked in two senior Graphic Design roles.In the first role I applied for the Junior GD role but was asked and employed to lead the South African Breweries design team at Bothma Branding Solutions. The location of the work was never ideal for me and my family goals and thus I sought work closer to home. This lead me to my next role as Senior Designer at Print Expression.I was almost exclusively employed to Brand, design and setup production artwork for large scale format printing. Print Expression had exclusive printing rights for Expo Solutions in Durban who create exhibition displays for international and governmental expos. I was also trained in the Print Room where I maintained, printed and learned a vast amount about production setup for various large format printers.With COVID cutbacks, I have reassessed my life and am now happily self-employed at home but looking for permanent contacts from anywhere in the world.My strongest skills include: 1. Taking clear instruction to produce a product of high quality. 2. Accurate delivery of client briefs. 3. Delegation of work to team members. 4. Top quality design work due to strong self criticism. 5. Optimistic attitude - forever in life and in career. 6. Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and inDesign.
