About Hoke Smith

I'm passionate about understanding cyber threats and protecting large and small enterprises from them. As Vice President, Cybersecurity at Nuix, my role is to work with our clients, from pre-sales through implementation, to show how our software solves problems for them. My responsibilities include demand generation, software demonstrations, installation, training, product marketing support, and post-sales support, focused on the Adaptive Security endpoint detection & response product.For 20 years I've worked with commercial and government organizations on complex challenges including cybersecurity, insider threat, identity correlation, and quantitative analytics. Prior to Nuix, I served as both a consultant and eventually manager at IBM, after management consulting roles for numerous customers with Booz Allen Hamilton.Specific skills and experience include: Endpoint Forensics/EDR, insider threat detection, cyber threat analysis, sales engineering, technical program management, requirements analysis, and product strategy. Frequently called on to present our perspective on cybersecurity and insiders threat.
