My professional experience started in the industrial computing world, ultimately being responsible for product development and pre-sales engineering for a fast growing ISO-9001 certified industrial computer manufacturer and integrator. I spent some time in consulting, gaining valuable experience related to strategic planning, enterprise architecture, and organizational assessments. These skills, coupled with my Electrical Engineering background, took me into the Data Center operations space where I oversaw the day to day operations of multiple data centers in the Charlotte metro area. These were fully staffed, 24x7 mission critical facilities serving a wide variety of customers and industries. I have experience with AWS/Azure migrations, integrations with various SaaS providers and leading diverse technology teams to be efficient, effective and educated. In my spare time, I enjoy providing structured training for a variety of IT Engineers on a wide variety of technology topics.Specialties: Leading Technology Teams, Data Center Operations, Mission critical infrastructure, 24x7 operations, Systems Architecture, Cloud Platforms, Cloud migrations, DevOps, ITIL, strategic planning, process improvement, quality assurance, vendor qualification, technical project management.
