I am an Integration/SOA specialist with over 20 years experience in integrating systems in Retail, Utilities, Government, Health, Manufacturing and the Telecommunications sector.In my previous roles as a consultant for SeeBeyond and Sun Microsystems, my specialties included Liaising with clients at all levels of the project and Architecting, designing and implementing new and complex systems.In my current position as Ausnet Services, I have been with the day to day operations with the EAI team maintaining, improving and developing the EAI systems. This started with the eGate systems and in the last couple of years the WebMethods systems as eGate was decommissioned.I have been involved in a number of projects, some of which I have been the only EAI resource. Some I start on my own and are not sanctioned by my manager, one of which strangely enough got me nominated for a company award last year it was such a success for the team. My time at Ausnet Services has given me the perspective of seeing the long term effects of an implementation. Something rarely seen when working as a consultant. My current passions are improving my skills by looking into concepts such as Continuous Delivery, Acceptance Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development. This has lead me to play with technologies such as Jenkins, Fitnesse, Concordion, and Jbehave. I like the idea of giving feedback directly back to the original specification automatically. Your specification verifies your implementation and your implementation verifies your specification. I am also interested in automating as much of the tedious work as possible.
