As a NC Schweitzer fellow, I delivered oral and overall health care lessons to children ages 4-8 in Pitt County Boys and Girls Clubs and the Martin County Community Action Initiative (formerly the More At Four program). I reduced the disparity in access to care for these students and their families by connecting them with health care providers. The lessons were presented in fun, applicable, and understandable ways.

In Alexander Hall for 2 years and in Wolf Village for a year and the summer.

Assisted chair side on various procedures, operatory prep, worked front desk, perio charting, X-Ray development, etc.

helped orient the families of new students to NC State – responding to their questions about student life and the campus while assisting with running the program.
