Lead Pre-Press Operator
Current•Lead Prepress Technician•Oversee the workflow of the department which consists of nine employees.•Preflight and Prepare 1-up files for print production by applying trapping, color adjustments, and creating coating and stamping areas needed.•Proof and evaluate final files and adjust as necessary.•Impose 1-ups and send to imagesetter for final plates.•Install and upgrade programs used in the daily operation of the department, specifically Art Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, inDesign, Nexus.•Establish and maintain workflows and quality procedures•Interact with Customer Representatives, Designers and Customers in technical matters regarding file preparation and revisions.•Advise and assist operators in obtaining answers to challenges of certain files.•Attend daily pre-plan meetings.•Troubleshoot with Pressmen for solutions and new approaches to challenging projects.•Proficient in software commonly used in print production, including ArtPro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, AcrobatPro, Nexus. •High profile clients include Coty, L’Oreal, Elizabeth Arden, Procter and Gamble, Matrix, Estee Lauder, Beiersdorf, Bausch and Lomb, and more.
