Hi, I’m Holland Marielle—a proud Philly native, systems thinker, and social edupreneur. With a professional background in cosmetology instruction and a heart for helping others heal, I founded The Royal Spoil Academy of Beauty & Wellness Inc. in 2013. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit combines beauty, wellness, and education to support resilience in women and girls. Through partnerships with schools, shelters, beauty brands & professionals, we provide personal care products and lead interactive programs that uplift and inspire. One of our cornerstone initiatives is Modern Girls, a groundbreaking social-emotional learning (SEL) program for middle school girls. Centered on beauty, self-care, and community, Modern Girls builds confidence, fosters character development, and promotes positive lifestyle habits. As one of the few SEL programs designed specifically for girls of color in strategically under-valued areas, it’s a labor of love that reflects my deep commitment to addressing systemic inequities through innovative solutions.I've had invaluable experience teaching and working with youth and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Human Development and Community Engagement at Temple University - focusing on Nonprofit Management, Social Entrepreneurship, and African American Studies. My work is at the intersection of self awareness, black women’s wellness, youth development, and urban education. I’m passionate about integrating emotional intelligence, positive psychology, and SEL into education, especially in high-trauma communities.
