Responsibility for the recruitment of constituents from the South Central Region of the US (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado). My success in this role has been as a result of execution in the following areas:Impactful engagement with students using recruiting process methodologies and modern CRM technologyPresenting at special events such as National Awareness seminarsCollaborating with institutional leaders and staff members to guide admissions decisionsLeveraging my expertise in aligning candidate needs with university initiatives resulting in a 64% yield rate

In this role I collaborated with a team of professionals, including the University President, to establish a college access program geared toward low income students to increase collegiate awareness and academic achievement. Below is an overview of key highlights: Success through Advising: As the main College Advisor for 300+ students in the program, we achieved a minimum of 95% college enrollment for the first 5 graduating cohorts of students Developed College Planning Best Practices: I designed and led a 3-year spiraling curriculum on college planning to 300+ program scholars. The curriculum was designed to build a knowledge base and engagement model for students and their parents on the college admission process.

Institutional enrollment leader charged with the goal of increasing the enrollment and retention of students from diverse backgrounds as a part of the University’s strategic plan. In addition to said special population, I was also responsible for recruiting competitive students from the Southwest region of the US (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma). I successfully accomplished the following:Increased Enrollment: Incrementally I increased the enrollment of diverse students by 44% over a 6 year period through developing and managing major recruitment events and tailored engagement initiatives.3-Year Strategic Recruitment: An end-to-end strategic recruitment plan which included traveling to target markets, collaborating with colleagues, streamlined recruiting events, and oversaw the development of marketing collaterals.Multicultural Ambassadors Program: Hired, trained and led a staff of leaders dedicated to recruiting and mentoring prospects. In this role I was dually responsible for the prospect to enrollment process for 350+ students while building and deploying campaigns to increase the number of students with diverse backgrounds at the college. accomplishment highlights include: Exceeding Enrollment Expectations: With a budget of $30K I enhanced recruitment programs, as well as, implemented new strategic plans to engage diverse students including but not limited to a university “fly-in” program. These efforts resulted in an increase of students from diverse backgrounds and a 40% increase in yield rates for the ALANA population. (Asian, Latino/a, African-American, and Native American) Cross-Organizational Leadership: For the strategic recruitment plans to be effective in driving enrollment number up I collaborated with the marketing team to create comprehensive communication strategies including: programming events, branding, development and design of marketing collaterals, and developing creative distribution methods. With my internal staff of 25+ I facilitated trainings and workshops on diversity recruitment, communication development, and team building skills Leading Retention Efforts: As a member of the University’s Diversity Council we managed a budget of $250K used to engage the entire campus community in developing cutting edge diversity proposals to impact the campus community.
