- Manage various K-12 grade classrooms following teacher’s instructions and leaving detailed notes for review.- Communicate with teachers to revise lessons and assist with grading as needed. - Prepare age appropriate backup lessons and activities in case there are no substitute plans available.

- Work with committee members, staff and board of directors to establish, promote and provide education and outreach programming.- Create and teach mission based hands on educational programming for public hikes and events.

- Build a successful new branch of programming “Discovery Central Adventures” to use the power of environmental education and interpretation to foster a love of the place we call home, Marquette Michigan.- Identify existing environmental education programming and partners in the Marquette, MI area.- Develop relationships and collaboration with community and environmental partners to futher the mission of Discovery Central and Discovery Central Adventures. - Work in collaboration with Discovery Central administration to research and prepare grant proposals and promotional materials.

- Organize and implement an annual state conference for K-12 and non-formal educators.- Create and teach environmental education programming.- Administer educational grants to K-12 and non-formal educators.- Research, create and disseminate monthly newsletter, website and social media.- Generate and maintain a yearly budget.- Develop an annual board retreat agenda and set yearly goals.- Recruit board members.

- Deliver accurate public recreation information.- Create, promote, implement and evaluate enthusiastic interpretive programming for youth and adults.- Coordinate special events.- Develop, maintain and evaluate the volunteer program.- Create and implement an interpretive design plan for the visitor center.

- Manage daily operations and schedules for multiple doctors at a high paced, high stress animal hospital.- Develop and provide educational and interpretive information for clients. - Create educational materials for clients.

- Create, produce and teach hands on, state standards-aligned, curriculum based on the interest of students.

- Manage, coordinate, develop, and evaluate operations of the grant funded ExplorOlogy® Project.- Lead student programs in urban outdoor and the backcountry.- Develop and coordinate youth and family programs that inspire minds to understand the natural and cultural world.- Teach curriculum focused on natural and cultural resource protection to all ages.- Serve as a liaison for the museum by working on a number of city, state and federal agency boards.

- Design and implement interpretive media including scripts for self guided tours, brochures and signage.- Develop, deliver and evaluate outreach and onsite programs for K-12 students.- Create summer and afterschool programming including puppet shows.

- Educate audiences of all ages with curriculum driven lesson plans using live animals and biofacts.- Create new state standards-alinged, curriculum driven lessons for onsite, outreach and camp programs.

- Develop, evaluate and teach educational programs using raptors to illustrate conservation topics to students and adults.- Create educational materials to increase awareness of natural resource protection.- Write applications and administer successful grant submissions.
