I'm currently a Co-founder & Partner at The Franklin Alliance, a next generation Tax & Accounting platform focused on scaling small and medium sized CPA firms while allowing them to maintain their unique brand and culture.Prior to Franklin, I was an investor and operator at Areté Capital Partners, a boutique restructuring advisory and investment firm, focused on providing independent fiduciary and stewardship services to companies experiencing significant growth pains, complex organizational change, or existential crisis. Prior to Areté, I was a Vice President at Turn/River Capital, a technology-focused private equity firm. I managed and led several transactions with an aggregate value of $1B+. I held multiple board observer roles and worked very closely with the management teams.Prior to joining Turn/River Capital, I started my career as a member of Intuit’s Rotational Development Program, where I spent time in Corporate Finance, Product Management, and Corporate Strategy & Development. During my time at Intuit, I led financial planning and budgeting processes, internal cost improvement initiatives, revenue optimization strategies, and M&A transactions.Perhaps most importantly, I grew up in and around family businesses. The first was with Holloway Brothers Tools, an industrial distribution family business and later, Signature Furniture, a regional furniture installation business, where I spent many summers moving furniture in the sweltering Mid - Atlantic heat. A strong appreciation for small business is central to my focus at The Franklin Alliance.I earned his B.A. from Hamilton College and my M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth.
