I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a second year undergraduate module within the Department of Environment and Geography at the University of York. The module was called 'Solving Environmental Problems with Code' and aimed at teaching students how to use R and Python within an environmental context. My main responsibilities were assisting the module leader with developing instructional videos for the module website and supporting the students with any queries regarding the module content.

I had responsibilities such as cashing-up at the end of a shift, ensuring all staff members had the appropriate break(s) they were entitled to, I prepared meat for overnight cooking, I ensured the workplace was left in a clean and organised way before the shift ended and I locked up the shop at the end of a night.

I served customers and worked on the till processing cash and card payments, I made the items of food the customer ordered, I prepared food for cooking, I ensured the temperature of the food in the shop window was correct and safe for eating and I cleaned the shop floor and diner, whether this be a general clean or a deep-clean.
