I work within a residential care facility, a charity based around the ideals of Rudolf Steiner. Providing support for individuals with complex learning and mental disabilities. I work closely with a house of residents and other care staff to provide support throughout daily activities, whilst promoting independence. I am incredibly passionate about my job and feel a great gratitude I found a job within such a wonderful place. Situated in the Scottish Borders, we have some amazing resources at our finger tips, a Weavers workshop, Bakery, Crafts workshop, Wood workshop, Paradise Garden, a neighbouring farm and other walks nearby that involve wildlife and scenery. Due to COVID, activities are restricted at this time, although it can be said we are blessed with the surrounding area allowing us to enjoy lovely walks and more.

Working for a small family business in self catering holiday lets. I worked here on and off for years during Summer holidays from University and other studies. My duties involved; arranging arrivals and departures of guests, organising staff, cleans and laundry, being on call to deal with situations such as boiler issues, and tending to any needs of the guests themselves.
