Parenting Journey is a home visitation program that provides individual support for families experiencing complex social, emotional and familial challenges that may impact overall family functioning, parent-child relationships and the well-being and development of children/youth.

Home visit and deliver programs to pregnant women, new moms and babies in Inverness County.Our goal is to improve maternal-infant health, increase the rates of healthy birth weights, and to promote and support breastfeeding. Collecting data regarding nutrition habits and physical activities of children and youth Measuring height, weight and waist circumference of grade 3, 7 and 11’s, directing participants through a food behavior questionnaire and providing participants with physical activity monitors. Data entry of physical activity questionnaires filled out by participants and guardians in research study using Microsoft excel.
