As a support worker it was my responsibility to deliver a high standard of care to the service users. This included personal care, money needs, family involvement, daily activities, menu planning, and support with domestic tasks. I had to support service users with epilepsy and dysphagia. I also worked as shift lead, making sure that all paperwork was completed and dealing with any issues that could arise. This could also include ensuring that all staff members were following procedures and care plans. It would be my responsibility to report any concerns to the appropriate person.

My responsibilities include managing a team of 25, monitoring performance through probation and supervisions and implementing performance improvement plans where required. I create rotas and manage them in the most cost efficient way. I have experience regarding safeguarding and raising alerts with social services and MASH. I am responsible for creating and writing support/care plans, risk assessments and all other relevant paperwork and auditing these on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. I liaise with outside agencies on a regular basis and attend a variety of meetings including multidisciplinary meetings and health reviews. I also have to deal with complaints that may be made, investigate these and act upon them efficiently.
