Various activities such as glassware calibration, pH meter calibration, and equipment maintenance are performed as needed. Various cleaning duties following SOPs are implemented to maintain several lab rooms and hoods.General knowledge of chemistry and math are used to prepare reagents and solutions for over 15 chemistry lab courses. Solutions of specific molarity and percentages are made following reference materials and lab protocols.Hazardous chemicals are handled and disposed of by adhering to safety protocols, SOPs, and EPA codes.Newer employees are supervised to ensure SOPs are being followed, proper PPE is worn for each task, and tasks are being completed in a timely manner. Supervisor closing duties that are performed include checking lab rooms for materials and potential spills, making sure that all chemicals are properly stored and put away, balances and stir plates are clean, and dishes are done and returned to their areas.
