I change the world... and you can, too! The next generation is powerful, caring, brilliant and want to make a difference in the world and we have an opportunity to help them connect their talents and abilities to their passions. As a Regional Coordinator for World Link, I support the full year cycle for international high school students selected for the FLEX and YES scholarships through the U.S. Department of State. We utilize grassroots marketing efforts and network within our communities to recruit and screen volunteer host families. We support the host families and students throughout the year to ensure a positive cultural exchange experience. I support students and families directly and hire, train and support Local Coordinators across the western half of the United States.  I help create and facilitate a student leadership program that is known as the best international student exchange leadership program in the country. Our students do not just learn leadership... they lead! Last year our students volunteered over 13,000 hours during their 10 months in the country and the majority of the students created and led their own service project in their American community for Global Youth Service Day. We develop and facilitate leadership learning weekends alongside local and virtual learning to help them learn what it takes to lead and to make an impact.I believe we each have the opportunity every day of our lives to use our talents, skills and time to make the world a better place and that only happens as we live life as the best we can be. Whether hiring and training adults, creating leadership learning opportunities and events for teens or connecting people across the world together so they can influence each other... my purpose is to help others realize their purpose! It is an exhilarating way to live life!
