About Holly Ferling

Holly received her first rookie contract with the Queensland Fire at the age of 14 before making her debut in the Women’s National Cricket League at 16. Only 4 months later, she debuted for the Australian Women’s Cricket team at the ICC Women’s World Cup. At just 25, she is one of Australia’s most recognised and accomplished female cricketers. Currently playing for the Melbourne Stars in the WBBL, and continuing to pull on the maroon for the Queensland Fire in the WNCL competition, Holly is a clear fan-favourite. A Bachelor of Mass Communication (Journalism and Public Relations major) graduate, Holly has already had a wealth of experience in the media, commentating for Channel 7 across the summer, making her Test coverage debut in the 4th Australia v India Test at the Gabba. She has also commentated across other radio and television networks, including ABC, Fox Sports and Macquarie Sports Radio. On top of that, Holly has had experience in a high paced commercial radio newsroom, working as a reporter for 4BC. Holly is now putting her journalism skills to work, creating and producing Girls & Glory - a podcast giving listeners a 360 degree view of women's sport.Holly is an in-demand speaker, having presented to a range of corporates and organisations including the Queensland Police Service, Tourism and Events Queensland and Nestle, while inspiring the next generation at the Halogen Young Leaders’ events across the country. She has an ability to motivate and relate to the audience as she shares her journey of quick success and overcoming significant challenges.
