Works as the Garrison Operations and Training Manager. Plans and coordinates Garrison operations and training for the Select Honor Guard and Religious Services Office. Receives, publishes, and disseminates plans, orders and reports from upper command teams resulting in all missions being met. Developed a system for tracking all operation orders, consisting of over 310 orders in a 18 month period, ensuring all deadlines were met. Maintained personnel status of 80 Soldiers ensuring 100% accountability of personnel. Maintains accountability of over $150, 000 worth of unit equipment.

Worked on a 80 bed Telemetry floor which acted as the cardiac step down unit for the hospital. Responsible for up to 6 patients under the supervision of an RN. Provided specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population with complex and multi-system physiological diseases. Supervised and performs preventive, therapeutic, and emergency nursing care procedures. Identified life threatening arrhythmia via telemetry and provides education to patients and their families.

Served as a Team/Squad leader covering a period of 6 years and 3 deployments to Iraq. Joined as a Combat Medic and was promoted to Healthcare Sergeant in February of 2007. Administered emergency and routine medical treatment to over 1,000 trauma casualties, including minor surgery, chest tubes, tracheostomies and IV fluid administration. Operated within a Level II trauma unit on all three deployments and a forward surgical team for 9 months from 2010-2011 at COS Gary Owen. Administered emergency treatment in the field and was awarded the Combat Medical Badge for performing medical duties while being engaged in active ground combat. Coordinated and conducted the certification of DOD regulated CPR requirements for 180 personnel directly increasing the company’s medical support deploy-ability rate from 35% to 98%. Chosen over all my peers in my unit to be an instructor at the Medical Training Simulation Center teaching a total of 1500 Soldiers Tactical Casualty Combat Care during a 6 month period to qualify them for deployment.
