As a Project Engineer in the Equipment Engineering Commercialization group, I oversaw the equipment portfolio from initial commercialization including technical product life cycle management and supplier relationship for back room and dispensing valve equipment. My role included OEM supplier management, oversight of equipment changes, management of corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts. My role also included development of technical equipment requirements, oversight of equipment testing - both quality and reliability - for use in the Coca-Cola system. For new equipment coming into the system, I collaborated with the R&D team to commercialize new equipment including development of field trials and assessments of new equipment focused on equipment reliability and field repairs.

As a Staff Engineer in the Equipment Engineering Governance and Quality group, I held responsibility for leading testing and evaluations of ancillary fountain dispensing equipment against Global and North America standards. In this role, I also developed a department-wide document management system including process development, team training, and continuous management of the system. The system is based on ISO 9001 tenets and was developed in house.

Executed sanitation studies on food processing lines to determine effectiveness of varying sanitation methods and optimized for less sanitation time delivering the same cleanliness results. Overall, reduced sanitation time on two manufacturing lines resulting in $114K annual savings.

Managed projects across multiple plants from chemical processing to extrusion utilizing various engineering tools such as root cause analysis and continuous improvement to increase process effectiveness, reduce cost, or improve safety and sustainability1st Term | Specialty Film and Sheet Plant: Collaborated with engineering firm to install 18 static bars on high quality sheet and coating lines to reduce static charge by 84%, decreasing rejected sheets with an estimated savings of $300M2nd Term | Specialty Polymer Plant: Collaborated with operations and vendors to initiate design of a fall protection system around unloading area to improve personnel ergonomics and reduce risk of injury3rd Term | Intermediate Chemical Plant: Utilized ASPEN modeling to build model of acetone PFD process area including multiple complex columns, validated with plant data to begin bringing plant into safety compliance following a PHA; Supported major plant turnaround by performing safety audits, inspecting and documenting internals of key equipment (distillation columns, heat exchangers, cooling tower, etc.)4th Term | Polymer Resin Production Plant: Designed, created, and managed two warm water tracing documentation systems containing about 190 manifolds and over 1400 valves for use by operations, mechanics, and contractors to locate manifolds and isolate and repair leaks, resulting in improved system reliability5th Term | Site Energy Management: • Created, implemented, provided training for, and led the Energy Conservation Insulation Program (ECIP), a co-op energy loss reduction program created to identify missing and damaged insulation -resulting in 193 work requests for insulation repairs and an estimated first year savings of $47M and personnel protection benefits from first 3 months of program; Developed site water balance around 8.5MM gal/day site water usage at unit level in 21 individual process units to create a line of sight to the 2015 site water intensity reduction goal
