Twenty-three years as a 911 Call taker and police dispatcher has given me the opportunity to deal with people of all categories at their worst and at their best. The job has required me to be calm, level-headed under pressure, and quick at making decisions. This has been a customer service career dealing with the public in their times of severe crisis, requiring me to have patience and control. Several of my years in this line of work were spent supervising and managing not only staff but emergent situations. I've learned to be a decisive person who knows that delegating, and creating a cohesive team is essential in completing any undertaking, major or minor situation.Prior to my work in policing I enjoyed 15 years working with special needs students as an Educational Assistant.
