Holly McWilliams has been with the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP since 1992. Holly has more than 30 years' experience working in various areas of civil litigation. Since 2000, she has worked as a law clerk in the firm's Health Law Group, focusing on health law issues, including medical negligence claims and physician privileges matters. Holly assists with the day-to-day management of various medical negligence files, mainly from a defence perspective. Some of her responsibilities include liaising with counsel, preparing court pleadings, including statements of defence, motions, affidavits of documents, production briefs, settlement conference briefs and mediation briefs, reviewing and compiling answers to undertakings, preparing settlement documents, and trial preparation.Holly also considers/recommends and undertakes necessary investigations into claims, including attending witness interviews.
