This role involves working with global market teams to guide the delivery of strategies and brand plans for the Original Source shower and body care brand. • Developing and managing the first global Original Source communication campaign across 6 different countries (UK, Ireland, Poland, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia). This campaign included a social media voting mechanic to pick the next variant product launch, which reached over 10 million people globally and achieved 110,000 votes off a small media budget of £16K. This project included product development of the winning variant, campaign development, and managing the buy in of local commercial teams and the global board of Directors.

    In this role I was responsible for driving the European strategy of the Original Source shower and body care brand. I was also directly responsible for delivering the sales and profit targets in the UK, its largest market• Whilst responsible for the brand in the UK (Oct 12 – Dec 14) the sales value grew by 30% whilst increasing the profit by 22%.• Launched the Skin Quench shower and body care range with a £2m campaign which ran from August to November 2014 across a range of platforms including press, digital, PR and in store. This involved managing creative agencies, media agencies and retailers as well as tracking and optimising the campaign. Skin Quench shower delivered an incremental £500K into the shower category in its first quarter and was on track to met all nets sales and profit KPIs in its first year. o Skin Quench body care, which consists of 6 products, is exclusive in the leading UK body care retailer – Boots. Launched in October 2014 with early signs ahead of budget, it is estimated to be worth £600K in year one. Boots are happy with early performance and have subsequently agreed to list two incremental product lines in February and June 2015.• Using consumer insight, I developed a new Mens Shower range to replace a declining range of products in the portfolio. Sold this into all the major retailers with very positive feedback. Launched in March 2015, which is expected to maintain distribution and grow the ranges value sales by 5%. • Help shape the strategy for Original Source launch within Germany. Launched 5 shower gel products in August 2014, which has achieved a 1% market share within 6 months. Conduct market research to recommend the range line up to achieve maximum reach. Working closely with the business development team and distributors to develop continuous launch support.

    Responsible for the Original Source brand within the UK. In this role I expanded the brand into a new category – body care from its shower and soap category, developed a range of premium products to drive value into the brand, optimised areas of the portfolio which were not performing whilst successfully communicating the brand on relatively small communication budgets. • Stretched the Original Source brand outside P Z Cussons shower and soap remit into body care – Developed the strategy “ think big, test small and learn fast” to launch the Original Source Body Care range into Boots. This was a high profile project within the company that was grounded in consumer insight, challenged category norms and successfully researched with Original Source consumers to drive higher penetration into the brand. I developing the sell in story, presented to Boots, and achieved distribution in over 1000 stores, which was 40% higher than the category average for new products. • Developed a premium skin care shower range from concept to delivery, which has driven incremental value into the brand as well as the category. Developed a range of 4 “All in one moisturising shower” variants and 2 “Scrubs” which all provide a unique positioning within the washing and bathing category. Involved in every aspect of the development from formulation, fragrance, packaging, building and presenting the business case, selling range into customers. Achieved an incremental 1000 distribution points. • Saw an opportunity to increase the profitability of the Hand Wash part of the Original Source portfolio. I was the driving force in bringing Original Source hand wash range in house that had a payback of 3 months increased profit by 525%. In recognition for this task I achieved a PZ Cussons Silver award for outstanding contribution to the company.• Responsible for the day-to-day management of social media platforms. I achieved a 110% increase in social media followers from June 13 to June 14.

    Seven seas is the UK market leader in food supplements and is a part of Merck Group.In this role, I was responsible for delivering the operating profit on the Cod Liver Oil and Pregnancy categories, developing the NPD pipelines, communication strategy and long term vision of the brands. • Developed a new pregnancy supplement range, which launched in June 2012. Achieving launch rate of sales more than double than expected, and deeper distribution than the category norm for new products. This activity involved liaising with multiple agencies, managing budget, and delivering to very tight project deadlines. I was also the key liaison with sales force and key account management, to ensure the successful sell in of the NPD products. I was responsible for developing appropriate above and below the line communications to successfully launch the brand. I also produced the 1-year and 5-year strategic brand plans for the Pregnancy range.• Managed the Cod Liver Oil product portfolio, ensuring the right mix of product at the highest margin whilst working with the category team to achieve deep distribution. I worked closely with sales to produce the monthly forecast and regularly reported back to the business on the performance of the category.• I was instrumental in developing new strategic platforms to fit within the long-term vision of Seven Seas ensuring we produced successful NPD for the future. This process included developing new competitive positioning through consumer research. I conducted extensive background desk research and developed qualitative and quantitative research briefs with marketing research agencies.
