Assist surgeon with both local and IV sedation procedures. Maintain patient's vital statistics and intravenous fluids during surgery. Document treatment by charting in patient records. Responsible for taking intraoperative photographs. Assemble medications for IV sedations and call in prescriptions for patients. Inform patients on pre-op and post-op instructions. Provide diagnostic information through x-rays and past medical history. Prepare charts and instruments daily for the following day's procedures. Monitor the day-to-day schedule and supervise other assistants. Check inventory and record needed items.
