Provide essential advancement/fundraising expertise to small nonprofit organizations. Specialize in assisting organizations in instituting strategic and sustainable advancement programs. Primary services offered include: Board Training on Advancement Philosophies & Strategies; Development of Annual Advancement Plan; and Grant Writing.

Responsible for consulting on advancement issues and carrying out various tasks as needed to support the roles of the Resource Development Manager and Executive Director. Tasks included: Writing articles for quarterly newsletters;Maintaining relationships with individual donors;Planning special events; andPlanning and implementing Annual Fund Drive.

Responsible for working with Executive Director, Fundraising and Finance Committees to create and implement annual individual donor development plan;Oversaw Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge, donor and volunteer information management database;Managed volunteer recruitment and retention;Responsible for creation and implementation of quarterly newsletter, weekly construction newsletters and biweekly prayer newsletters; andMaintained relationships with individual donors, including house sponsors.Successes included: Development and Implementation of the following:Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge: donor and volunteer information management database, Annual Development Plan, Major "Ask" event for House Sponsors, Annual Fund Drive and quarterly newsletters. All above-mentioned achievements are still successfully maintained today.

Community Development Block Grant Specialist: Assisted in the creation, administration and implementation of Community Development Block Grant programs and projects, including first time homebuyer assistance, owner-occupied home rehabilitation, capital improvements, parks and recreation improvements, neighborhood revitalization and other community development and affordable housing programs.Homelessness Liaison: Served as the City's "expert" on all homelessness issues; Coordinated and wrote the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Continuum of Care - an annual plan for addressing homelessness that included seven counties and 30 agencies and resulted in $600,000 grant dollars brought into the Victoria area; Served as the City's representative in the Annual Homeless Count and to the Victoria Area Homeless Coalition.Community & Neighborhood Organizer: Organized neighborhood associations in the neighborhoods targeted to receive Community Development Block Grant funds; Coordinated partnership between Victoria Independent School District and the Silver City Neighborhood Association to open a neighborhood resource center; Secured grant and supervised an AmeriCorps Vista Member to staff the neighborhood resource center.

One of only 50 AmeriCorps members in the U.S. to receive a scholarship to attend the National Community Service Conference and afforded an opportunity to meet with Retired General Colin Powel to discuss ideas pertaining to the America's Promise Program.
