Liaising with the Medical Officer when necessary.>Answering the Donor Support phoneline and dealing with any queries, as well as transferring calls to the relevant department. >Processing deliveries that are returned from recruitment events, logging all relevant information, packing the swab samples to be sent to labs, scanning in paper application forms to be digitised.>Processing Right to Erasure and Subject Access Requests in compliance with GDPR and the Data Protection team.

I taught English at five public Junior High schools in Fukushima Prefecture. My work involved:>Working with students aged 12-15, alongside Japanese teachers of English, assisting with lessons, administering speaking tests, creating materials and planning additional English events for the city Board of Education.>Adapting to an unfamiliar environment without prior knowledge of the local language or customs, communicating effectively despite a language barrier, knowing when to handle a situation myself and when to ask for assistance.>General admin roles within my schools, such as data entry, simple statistics, and keeping a catalogue of lesson plans and worksheets.>Helping to organise a residential English Immersion Camp for elementary and junior high school students from across the city, including planning and running a two hour drama workshop, and monitoring students’ well-being whilst participating during a heatwave.

One year living as a live-out au pair in Paris. I had the opportunity to visit numerous cultural and educational venues in and around the city, and to make friends with people from across the globe. My role included:>Caring for two French boys, aged 10 and 13, collecting them from school, monitoring homework, providing English lessons and escorting them to evening activities.>Being able to make decisions in unexpected scenarios so as not to disrupt the parents whilst they were working.>Taking French classes three days a week to help integrate myself into local culture.
